IkWoonFijn (GoodLiving) is a platform that focusses on gathering ideas for your house. Every week a team of 16 writers work hard to gather inspiration for your space in space. Well, for you and for a small million other readers.
The agency Heers asked me to collaborate and relaunch this successful initiative with a fresh rebrand and a total online overhaul.

TURNING THE TABLE
As not only an inspirator but a platform to boot the brand needs to be visible, consistent and recognisable without pushing content out of the way.
The current outdated symbol and wordmark did none of these things.
We love the maintain that feeling of browsing through good tabletop magazines. But at the same time, we want to evolve.
We agreed that the mark should be simple. An icon that is recognisable without overly shouting or grabbing attention away from the content we offer.
Underscoring the W said everything in the best possible way.
W of Wonen (living) is the essence of the brand. We sketched different angles and always tried to get back to the core. In the end, we found that by simply underlining the 'W' it became a turned table referencing interior and tabletop lookbooks.
With this, we refined a mark closest to its essence that works on the tiniest of spaces, without losing its clarity.
